How Much is the Average Tax Bill in Attleboro?

A look at the average tax bill for Attleboro property owners.

According to the most up-to-date information on the City of Attleboro's website, the average single-family homeowner paid $3,341 in property taxes last fiscal year.

The data, compiled from Fiscal Year 2012, says the average single family property was worth $259,400. Attleboro's residential tax rate was $13.88. The total value of all single-family property was assessed at $2,433,954,700.

For commcercial, industrial and personal property, the tax rate in FY2012 was $20.46.

The total assessed value of residential properties in FY2012 was $3,245,043,883. For commercial property it was $362,915,025. Industrial property had a total assessed value of $224,356,900 and personal property had a value of $116,187,870.

In total, all taxable property in the city of Attleboro was assessed at $3,977,037,322 in FY2012.

The data for FY13 will be slightly different, as city council members voted last November to raise the residential tax rate by $117.18 for the average homeowner and $576.95 for the average businessowner, narrowing the rate gap between business and residential properties.
