Video: Demolition Day in Attleboro

Demolition of Attleboro's Old Barn at the corner of South Main and Wall streets begins Tuesday afternoon.

A demolition crew was at the corner of South Main and Wall streets Tuesday afternoon to take down . The destruction of the 84-year-old building is part of the downtown revitalization project by the Attleboro Redevelopment Authority, which has owned the property since 2007.

Another SAD day for Attleboro.

thanks for posting. Another core part of 'old' Attleboro, joining the Tappan House. Now pet owners have to go to the gruesome, cold, impersonal 'big box stores' and our money goes to big corporations. There were many good days of visiting the Old Barn, many cat adoptions, many friendships with staff. What an utter loss of community and connection in Attleboro. Another bar or another restaurant doesn't fill that need to know and be known as a fellow local.
