Three Attleboro Incumbents Certified For Election Last Week

The race to return nomination papers is on and three incumbents last week made certain they'd be on the ballot this fall.

City Collector Deb Marcoccio was certified for nomination by the Attleboro Elections Department last Thursday. Her re-election will likely be unopposed as no-one has pulled papers to challenge her.

Ward 6 Councilor Shannon Heagney also made certain that she will be on the ballot this fall. Heagney was certified  last Wednesday to run for re-election for her seat. Nobody else has pulled papers to run for the seat.

William Larson also had his papers certified on July 1. He will be running for re-election for his Ward 2 school committee seat. Former Ward 2 councilor Jim Stors had also pulled papers to run for the seat, but chose to run for an At-Large seat instead. Stors was certified in the At-Large race on June 20.
