Sign Up for Summer Sports Clinics

The Seekonk Recreation Department will be holding soccer, tennis, football and field hockey clinics this summer. Contact the recreation department to sign up!

• The Seekonk Recreation Program has been given a grant to teach field hockey to students in grades 5 through 8. The clinic will be run at Seekonk High School Monday, Aug. 1, through Thursday Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a rain make-up day for Friday, Aug. 5. The cost of the field hockey clinic is $85 for residents, $105 for non-residents, $65 for Seekonk resident siblings and $85 for non-resident siblings. Sticks, balls and mouth guards will be provided. But please bring your own shin guards, a healthy snack and plenty of water. Please contact Bridget Garrity, recreation director, for forms or additional information. The registration deadline is Friday, July 22.
• The department will be running an American Softball Association clinic for those in grades 3 through 8 to brush up on the rules and regulations of the sport. The clinic will be held at the Cole Street Softball Complex Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost of the softball clinic is $50 for residents and $65 for non-residents. Bats, balls and helmets will be provided but feel free to bring your own bat. Bring your own glove and plenty of water. Please contact Bridget Garrity for forms or additional information. The registration deadline for this program is Friday, July 8.
• A tennis program will be held at the Seekonk High School courts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from July 11 though August 5. Please contact Samantha Hedden, youth tennis coordinator at samg2000@hotmail to see if spots are still available.
