Rep. George Ross Wants You to Join Him in Becoming an Organ Donor

State Representative and long-time Attleboro resident George T. Ross hopes his organ donation status encourages others to register to donate their organs.

Long-time Attleboro resident and current Massachusetts State Rep. George T. Ross was surprised by the number of Massachusetts residents waiting for a life-saving organ transplant, so he joined several of his colleagues at the State House and registered as an organ donor.

Ross registered as an organ donor when he participated in the Donate Life Day at the State House, which highlighted the organ donation effort in the Bay State by Donate Life New England, a joint project of two federally designated organ groups that serve the region.

"Being an organ donor is a real honor," Ross said. "I feel that by stepping up and becoming an organ donor I could possibly be instrumental in saving someone's life. "

"I would encourage everyone that I can to become an organ donor today," Ross said.
