Norton Soldier Wounded in Afghanistan Dies

Master Sgt. Gregory R. Trent was 38.

U.S. Army Master Sgt. Gregory R. Trent of Norton died Wednesday at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Maryland from wounds suffered in Afghanistan, according to the Department of Defense. He was 38.

Trent was wounded July 31 in Baktabad when his unit was attacked, according to the Department of Defense. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group in Fort Bragg, N.C.
