Candidates for state representative and senator will face off at Attleboro High School.

Attleboro voters will have the opportunity to hear from the candidates participating in local state legislative races next week. One session featuring two debates will take place next Thursday at Attleboro High School.

The event hosted by The Sun Chronicle and the United Regional Chamber of Commerce will include separate one-hour debates in the contests for 2nd Bristol District (which includes most of Attleboro) state representative between Republican incumbent George Ross and Democratic challenger Paul Heroux as well as the Bristol and Norfolk state Senate District (which includes Seekonk, portions of Attleboro and several other municipalities) between Democratic incumbent James Timilty and Republican challenger Jeff Bailey.

Candidates will be asked questions by a panel and they will get to ask each other questions, chamber President Jack Lank told Attleboro-Seekonk Patch.
