Lawmakers Put Money Where Their Mouths Are for Super Bowl Bet

State Rep. Steven Howitt of Seekonk has made a wager on the Super Bowl with Assemblyman Dean Murray of New York.

State Rep.  Steven S. Howitt (R-Seekonk) and New York Assemblyman Dean Murray (R, C- East Patchogue, NY) are putting their money where their mouths are with their food-based Super Bowl wager.

If the the Patriots win, Murray will present Rep. Howitt with the best food the 3rd Assembly District from New York has to offer.

If the Patriots should lose, Rep. Howitt will be sending Assemblyman Murray a delicious New England-style dinner of stuffed lobster and New England clam chowder from Venus de Milo, a restaurant from Rep. Howitt’s district in Swansea.

“I’m glad to promote a local business, Venus de Milo, but I don’t expect the Patriots to lose. Hopefully on Sunday I’ll be the one with a feast from Assemblyman Murray,” said Rep. Howitt in a release.
