Laugh a Little on Election Day

For many of us, this is a serious time. We could be selecting a new leader for our country or renewing the job of our current chief. There are also several other very important items on the ballot. So I am providing you with a video to crack a smile on that serious face, if only for a moment.

This clip is from The Simpsons circa 1994—when the show was in its prime. The episode titled "Sideshow Bob Roberts" included an election in which Sideshow Bob, a convicted attempted murderer and Bart Simpson's nemesis, ran for mayor against corrupt incumbent Joe Quimby.

The clip shows a television ad from Sideshow Bob's campaign committee. Kudos to those who know what real-life campaign ad this is spoofing.
