Gone Fishin' with Romney; Former Governor Eyes South
The Republican candidate is hoping to win a pair of Tuesday primaries.
Mitt Romney may be too busy on the campaign trail to spend a lot of time in the state he used to govern, but Massachusetts residents have not forgotten the presidential hopeful. State Rep. Dan Winslow told the Boston Herald on Tuesday that he and Romney used to go fishing in Seekonk.
The Republican, a Michigan native, is in the midst of a Tuesday battle for Alabama and Mississippi. He is trying to endear himself to southern residents to garner more votes.
Some experts believe taking either state would seal the nomination, and a matchup with President Barack Obama in November’s general election. Romney has accumulated more than double the delegates of his next closest competitor.

In last week’s primary vote, Romney reeled in a decisive victory against Rick Santorum, Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich. He beat them by more than 1,100 votes each among Attleboro voters en route to a majority share of the state’s 41 delegates.
