It is no surprise that someone has taken to the Internet to spread the word about an Attleboro candidate, especially Kevin Dumas.

Last year someone created a Dump Dumas website to sell various products including mugs, boxer briefs and even bibs with the Dump Dumas logo on it. Shortly after that, a Dump Dumas Facebook page was also created.

Despite the fact that the Facebook page was not created by Dumas, a handful of messages was posted on its wall late Monday afternoon, including one from the which read: "Mayor Dumas- The Friends of Capron Park Zoo would like to request a meeting with you to inquire as to how you would propose to deal with the AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) decision to table the Zoo for accreditation. Specifically, what would your campaign position be regarding adding additional budget to cover the needed full time zookeeper in-line with the AZA's request as a criteria for re-accreditation for ."

Wall posts also included one from Dumas which read: "This is a scam. This is not my Facebook page."

Social Networking

Several Attleboro candidates have created Facebook pages, Twitter accounts and websites to get the word out about their election, including candidates for city councilor at-large Brian Kirby, Richard Conti and Cherie Felos. Candidate for City Councilor Ward 5 Jeremy Denlea has a website to promote his race. Anthony Parziale, also a candidate for city councilor at-large, uses his Twitter account to send election messages. Sara-Lynn Reynolds has a campaign website too. Jay DiLisio has taken his campaign to the Web with a Facebook page, Twitter account and website.
