Will the public citizens be able to speak any comments at this meeting?

There is a time set aside for public input / comments during regular Council meetings on the first and third Tuesdays . . . except Summertime, it's only the 3rd Tues. eve.. But it is hard for the public to know precisely when this will be because of their devotion to a set agenda schedule, which varies considerably I believe that such time should be at the beginning of Council meetings, at 7 p.m.. For the City to make this needed change would demonstrate a Council committment as to who the councilors work for. Failing that needed change suggests wrong priorities. Who are the councilors elected by? Should they not work for those who elect them? Who "pays the freight", after all? It's past time for this needed change.

F: Typically the public is provided an opportunity to speak if the matter before the council requires a public hearing. I have not spoken with any councilors regarding this proposal, but it is my understanding that the matter is simply being introduced tonight, which typically is not a venue for public comment. You can always contact your ward councilor directly or any of the At-Large councilors. Their contact information is on the Council web page.
