Dumas Plans Summer Cookout

The Attleboro mayor is running unopposed this fall.

Although he is running unopposed, Attleboro Mayor Kevin Dumas is still planning on holding his annual summer cookout Saturday at 1420 County St.

The event, which will last from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. will feature Local DJ and radio host Domenic Cotoia and a menu with chicken, hotdogs, hamburgers, corn, salads and soft drinks.  Beer and wine will also be available. The committee to elect Dumas is asking for donations of $15 per person and $25 per family. RSVP is 508-455-2225.

"The Committee really puts a lot of work into making the event a family friendly cookout with everyone invited," Campaign Manager Joe Solis said in a statement. "This year a supporter volunteered to bring a few antique cars and members of the Committee are working on games to make sure everyone has a good time."

Dumas is running unopposed this fall. Ronald Churchill and Stephen Higginbotham both pulled nomination papers but neither were certified.
