City Councilor Asks for Community's Support on Election Day

Cherie Felos is running for Attleboro City Council At-Large.

Attleboro City Councilor Cherie Felos wants to shape up the city, but needs the city's support to do so, she said at a reception and fundraiser held at Moose Steakhouse on Saturday afternoon.

The attorney and mother of eight, who currently represents Ward 1, wants another opportunity to serve the city, only this time as Attleboro City Council At-Large.

As councilor, Felos serves as the chairwoman of the City Ordinance, Elections, and Legislative Matters Committee.

"I voted against the mayor's raise. I voted to reduce taxes on business. Now, I need your support on Nov. 8," Felos writes in her campaign literature.

Felos had a room full of supporters including her campaign manager, Grace Baptist Pricipal/Pastor  andChaplain, Jeff Bailey, Rep. George Ross, current City Councilors Walter Thibodeau and Shannon Heagney, Attleboro Mayoral Candidate Ronald Churchill and School Committee Members Brenda Furtado and James Stors.

If elected, Felos said plans to tackle  some of the biggest concerns she hears from folks in the community - job creation. Her biggest challenge, she admits, will be reaching out and knocking on doors of Attleboro's more than 42,000 residents. Felos, however, is up for the challenge, she said at the end of the event.

The "ordinary citizen with a family just like you," is hoping supporters cast votes in her favor on Election Day, Nov. 8.
