Candidate Bielat Visits Attleboro

The congressional hopeful makes a campaign stop at the city's train station.

Election Day is right around the corner, and the candidates vying to become Attleboro and Seekonk's next representative in the U.S. House of Representatives are making their final stops prior to the Thursday primary. One of the candidates, Republican Sean Bielat, was in Attleboro Tuesday evening.

Bielat, 37, spoke to a small group at the train station on Union Street. He was introduced by state Rep. George Ross (R-Attleboro). After Bielat answered some questions, state Senate candidate Jeff Bailey spoke about his campaign. Bailey is the only Republican challenging Democratic Sen. James Timilty, so neither of those candidates has to worry about the primary election.

Bielat faces two challengers—Elizabeth Childs and David Steinhof—in the contest to become the Republican nominee for the 4th District seat. The winner will face the Democratic nominee, most likely Joseph Kennedy III, in November.

NOT! He lost to Barney Frank, left the state and made a life for he and his wife, they had a baby and then got the call or the offer of funding (From where???) to come run again. He uprooted his family, even though he and his wife had just had a baby, and hot footed it back here. He's a carpetbagger and opportunist. And I want to know who is funding him for his 'make work' job. Businessman, my foot! There's hidden money passing hands --has to be. At least Childs and Steinhoff are longterm committed residents of the Commonwealth. They'd be a better choice IMO. I'm very much afraid that if Sean Bielat gets in, we'll find out, too late, that he's an ideologue in line with the more extreme Right wing of the Republican party.

Childs bailed out as Dept Of Mental Health CEO when she got wind of the Gov wanting to close Taunton State Hospital. As far as Steinhoff he should continue cleaning teeth, Kennedy will take this 110% easy

I certainly hope so. Ross needs to go, too.

Gretchen, Bielat should be elected as our Congressman and George Ross needs to be re-elected to Beacon Hill ; however, you and I have different opinions which makes this a great country to live in. May the best candidates win (George Ross, Sean Bielat, Jeff Bailey, Scott Brown, Mitt Romney)
