Attleboro Wastewater Treatment Plant Among Best in State

The wastewater treatment plant received the Best Medium Plant Performance Award.

Attleboro has one of the best wastewater treatment plants in Massachusetts.

The Attleboro City Council was informed last week that the Attleboro Wastewater Treatment Plant was awarded the Best Medium Plant Performance Award by the Massachusetts Water Pollution Control Association.

The announcement was made during Mayor Kevin Dumas' communications to the council.

"This is one of three performance awards given annually," Dumas wrote in his communication. "I know you join me in congratulating Superintendent Paul Kennedy and his staff on this accomplishment."

According to MWPCA's website, "The Massachusetts Water Pollution Control Association (MWPCA) is a non profit organization established in 1965, to provide education, training, and promote the exchange of information among operators and water quality professionals."
