Attleboro Emergency Shelter to Open at 5 p.m.
The shelter will be located at Attleboro High School.
An emergency shelter will open at Attleboro High School at 5 p.m. for Attleboro residents forced to evacuate from their homes due to Hurricane Sandy and the associated bad weather. The school is located at 100 Rathbun Willard Drive.
A press release from the police department states, "Anyone using the shelter should enter through the bus drop-off area located outside the principal's office. The bus loop is located to the left of the school."
The release also states, "Anyone using the shelter is asked to bring their personal medication, blankets, pillows and other items of comfort. Residents should bring snacks with them while accommodations are arranged."

Cats and dogs are allowed at the shelter, according to the release. Those bringing pets must also bring a pet carrier or suitable container as well as a leash, pet food, medications for the animals and bowls for food.
