VIDEO: Downed Tree Delays Arcade Avenue Traffic
Officers directed traffic down Mill Road after gusts created a traffic hazard.
Seekonk police directed Arcade Avenue traffic onto a Mill Road detour Thursday afternoon close to rush hour after winds brought down a tree on Fall River Avenue. Vehicles inched forward on the backroad while Department of Public Works crews cleaned up the debris. The traffic eventually cleared out on County Road.
According to Seekonk police dispatch, National Grid workers were expected to arrive at the scene at approximately 4 p.m. Limbs and downed wires were seen scattered around town.
