Vehicle Strikes Pedestrian in Attleboro

The incident happened at the intersection of Pine and School streets.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle late Monday afternoon at the intersection of Pine and School streets, witnesses said. The person was taken to a hospital via ambulance, said people living in a home near the scene. They declined to elaborate on the situation.

The incident was reported shortly before 5 p.m. Police investigated the scene until about 5:30 p.m.

Attleboro police were unavailable for comment for the remainder of Monday. The Sun Chronicle reported via an Attleboro fire official that the victim was a teenager who was struck on a minibike by an SUV. She suffered "mostly cuts and scrapes," according to the newspaper.
