Update: Detour from Tractor Trailer Accident to Continue into the Evening

The cleanup process from a that occurred at 1 a.m. Thursday morning continues and so do the traffic detours, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Massachusetts State Police.

The left two lanes at the crash site near Exit 1 on Route 295 North remain closed for final repairs, according to state police.

The lanes are expected to be re-opened around 6 pm. The tractor trailer operator, Gusdavo Perez Espinoza, 64, of Sylmar, CA, and his passenger, Ruben Hernandez, 37, of Carson, CA, who were driving the produce-filled trailer, were treated for minor injuries at the scene. 

Police advise drivers to seek alternate routes.
