I-95 Crash Sends 2 to Hospital

The vehicles catch fire.

A two-vehicle crash Sunday morning between exits 1 and 2 on Southbound Interstate 95 in South Attleboro sent both vehicles off the freeway on fire, according to scanner reports. The crash happened during the 9 a.m. hour.

Capt. David Hardman from the Attleboro Fire Department said the two drivers, who were not identified, were sent to a Rhode Island hospital. He did not know the extent of their injuries. WPRI TV in Providence reported that the injuries were not expected to be life-threatening.

The crash slowed traffic on the freeway. There was still about a one-minute delay as of 11:10 a.m., according to WBZ Radio.
