UPDATE: Tractor Trailer Rollover Closes Access to 295 Southbound

Rollover a scary ordeal for veteran driver.

A tractor trailer rollover near the ramp from Route 95 northbound to Route 295 Southbound at Exit 4 forced Massachusetts State Police to close access to all lanes of Route 295 southbound.

The rollover, which occurred around 11:50 a.m. on Monday, left the uninjured driver of TCL Trucking, RI very shaken.

“It was scary,” said Jorge M. Morales, 47 of Brockton.  “A car was pulled over and it caused the car in front of me, which was trying to avoid it, to stop. I stopped to avoid the car and tipped.”

Asked where the other two vehicles were, the driver said: “they took off.”

“I’ve been driving for 12 years and this is my first accident,” he said. “And this is my daily route.”

The driver was transporting olives in the 1999 international tractor, owned by a New Jersey company, from Boston to North Smithfield.

Massachusetts state police officers, who were on the scene along with the Attleboro Fire Department and Mass Highway, said the matter was being investigated and they would not say whether any charges would be made against the truck driver.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, according to State Police. No charges have been filed and the investigation is being handled by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police and the State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section.
