Seekonk Police Log: Officers Charge Lincoln Street Man With Rape

Police responded to reports of rape and assault and battery.

Seekonk police officers arrested eight people from Monday, April 4, to Monday, April 11, on charges including assault and battery, rape and distributing class D drugs.

Carlos Gonzalez, 25, of Pawtucket, R.I., was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license; Sandra Benitez, 36, of Pawtucket, R.I., was charged with allowing an improper person to operate a motor vehicle, after their motor vehicle was stopped at 2:22 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5.

Nicholas Chateauneuf, 29, of East Providence, R.I., was arrested under a warrant at approximately 10:03 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, after an officer responded to a disturbance in the Panera parking lot.

Daniel Johnson, 44, of Cranston, R.I., was arrested under a warrant, at approximately 10:56 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6.

Amanda Gouin, 24, of 429 Lincoln St., was arrested under a warrant at approximately 3:23 p.m. on Thursday, April 7.

Eric Fiske, 35, of 340 Lincoln St., was charged with assault and battery at approximately 6:02 p.m. on Thursday, April 7.

Sean Lauffer, 25, of 304 Lincoln St., was charged with rape after officers responded to an alleged assault at Mary’s Motor Lodge at approximately 6:05 p.m. on Thursday, April 7. He was transported to the House of Corrections.

Jason Barbosa, 19, of 11 Smith St., was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a valid license or registration and attempting to distribute class D drugs.
