Seekonk Police Log: 5 Arrested in Alleged Car Breakin-Ins

A barking dog alerts a witness to the alleged crimes.

Five Rhode Island residents were arrested in the early morning of July 31 on suspicion of breaking into vehicles on Pamela Jean Drive. Police were alerted to the incident shortly before 3 a.m. when a witness reported "hearing her dog bark and seeing a male party near a vehicle," according to the log.

The arrested suspects are Domonique M. James, 21, of Johnston, Miranda Dehamel, 17, of Providence, Michael B. Knowles, 20, of Johnston, Fernando G. Knowles, 17, of Providence and Jesus Paradiozo, 20, of Providence.

All five were arrested on suspicion of breaking and entering a vehicle at night, conspiracy to commit a felony, receiving stolen property over $250 and use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony. James was also accused of operating a motor vehicle without a license.

  • *11:22 a.m. George Gomes, 52, of Seekonk was arrested at his Miller Street home on suspicion of distributing a Class A drug and possession of a Class E drug.

Aug. 4

  • 5:31 a.m. Damon T. Morrison of East Providence was arrested on an unspecified warrant on the I-195 West freeway near the first exit. A passerby had called the police about a "possible intoxicated male walking in the breakdown [lane]."
