Police Seek Public's Help to Find Armed Robbery Suspect

Police are searching for a suspect, who runs like a duck, in the robbery of Vista Donuts in Attleboro.

Attleboro Police are asking for the public's help to find an armed robbery suspect. On Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 2:16 a.m.  responded to located on Washington Street for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the donut shop clerk, who was the victim of the robbery, who reported that a white male had entered the business. The suspect, according to Det. Sgt. Paul Brillo, brandished a knife and attempted to rob the clerk of cash but was unsuccessful.

The male suspect fled the store with a pack of cigarettes and fled on foot toward Turner Street running behind the Adult Book store located next door to the donut shop.

Witnesses told police that the suspect ran with an unusual gait, describing him as running "like a duck."

Police are looking for a short, clean-shavin white male who was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and black or dark pants, white sneakers and a red stocking cap with a B (possibly the Red Sox logo) on the front.

The incident remains under investigation b y Officers Raymond Russas, Thomas Laporte and Det. Sgt. Arthur Brillon.
