Police Log: Student Plays With Fire, Basement Break-In

The following information was provided by the Seekonk Police Department

  • On Tuesday, June 14, Hurley Middle School Assistant Principal Mary Westcoat spoke with Patrol Officer Stephen Kandarian to report that an eighth grade girl allegedly tried to make fire balls with a lighter during a field trip bus ride.
  • On Tuesday, June 14, the Patrol Officer Stephen Kandarian met with a parent who reported that her son was allegedly being bullied via text messages at the Hurley Middle School.
  • On Thursday, June 16, a Realtor reported that an Olney Street property was broken into through a bulkhead. Someone ellegedly entered the basement and cut most of the copper piping from the basement.
  • On Monday, June 21, officers were dispatched to the Seekonk Speedway to stop an allegedly intoxicated Middleboro man who was trying to drive away.
