Police Log: Level II Sex Offender Injures Self

Attleboro Police Log Friday, Nov. 26-Wednesday, Dec. 1

On Friday, Nov. 26, 2010: a level II sex offender allegedly lied to police saying he was stabbed in his apartment by an unknown person. The Bank Street resident told police a man had entered his apartment, placed a bag over his head and attacked him with a knife. The man suffered several cuts to his upper abdomen. Police found a plastic bag and silver knife in the apartment and collected it as evidence. 

While being treated for his injuries at , the man (who had alluded to drug use) told police he had lied to officers and that he had cut himself because he was "scared to be alone in his apartment" and because he "didn't feel safe." He would not tell police why he did not feel safe in his own apartment. The man was seen by a crisis counselor before being released from the hospital. 

Monday, Nov. 29, 2010: Sasha Murray, 21, of 44 Holden St. was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010: An East Street resident contacted police after noticing that his 1992 Honda Accord had been broken into and his wallet stolen. The resident said his dogs were "barking like crazy" around noon, but he didn't think anything of it. 

  • Inmer R. Vasquez, 34, of 69 Fales St. Central Falls, RI, was arrested for shoplifting by concealing merchandise. 
  • Ulysses Wilburn, 55, of 5 Sixth St. Apt. 2 was arrested for breaking and entering at night and larceny from a building.
  • Floyd Wilburn, 54, of 5 Sixth St. Apt. 2 was arrested on a warrant for trespassing.

Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010: Police responded to a call from a woman at Stop & Shop on Washington Street in South Attleboro who said her purse had been stolen from her carriage. The Coach purse, valued at $100, included her license, ATM card and some cash. Upon realizing her things had been stolen, she quickly visited her local bank to cancel her debit card.

  • David J. Salisbury, 41, of 12 Main St. Cumberland, RI, was arrested for drunk driving, crossing over street lanes and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. 
  • Ryan J. Feyler, 18, of 85 Sigourney St. Hartford, CT, was arrested for shoplifting by concealing the merchandise.
  • Chad R. Recore, 21, of 17 Fiske Ave. Cumberland, RI, was arrested for shoplifting by asportation (larceny).

Friday, Nov. 26, 2010: A Richie Street resident reported her black Vera Bradley hand bag valued at $1,750 was stolen from her car, which was parked in her driveway. There have been other recorded breaking and entering incidents reported in the same neighborhood including a report from another Richie Street resident of several items being stolen from the car, which was parked in the resident's driveway. Missing from the car was a Magellen GPS valued at $200, a Nextel cell phone valued at $99 and a red 3D cell Mag light valued at $19.99. 

  • Andres F. Vasquez, 32, of 112 Vine St. Pawtucket, RI was arrested for driving without a license, open container of alcohol in the car, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and drunk driving. 
  • Jose A Gonzalez, 27, of 26 Pleasant Terrace Lawrence was arrested on a warrant as a fugitive from justice, Class B drug possession, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. 
  • Thomas A Roy Jr., 46, of 20 View St. Attleboro was arrested for disturbing the peace. 
  • Thomas A. Roy III, 21, of 20 View St. Attleboro was arrested for disturbing the peace.
  • Durell D. Blanchard, 22, of 4 Northfield St. 2n floor Brockton was arrested on a warrant for rape charges.
