Police Log: Group Fight at McDonald's, Cocaine in Motel Room

Seekonk Police officers responded to local reports.

responded to the following recent incidents:

  • On Monday, Sept. 12, officers responded to Knights Inn to break up a fight by a woman and manager of the establishment. According to the report, the woman appeared to be on drugs. Officers checked her room and found a white powdery substance and glass pipe typically used to smoke crack or cocaine. She was taken to Rhode Island Hospital by Barrington emergency services.
  • On Monday, Sept. 13, a Newman Avenue resident reported a plow missing.
  • On Sept. 17, a SWAT unit responded to Middleboro to execute a high risk warrant. Officers secured the house of a known drug dealer who has used weapons in the past, according to a report.
  • On Saturday, Sept. 17, at approximately 4 a.m., officers responded to McDonald's to a report of six or seven people fighting. According to the report, a group of men started punching each other and throwing food after a vehicle allegedly intentionally hit another. One of the men claimed another hit in the hand with a wrench; police were unable to confirm the assault. None of the men were charged with a crime.
