Police Log: Four Weekend Arrests

An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

  • Daniel Banner, 23, of Rehoboth, was charged with attaching plates to a motor vehicle and driving without insurance or a valid license after officers responded to Back Street at approximately 10:22 p.m. on Friday, June 24.
  • Joao Chaves, 73, of East Providence, R.I., was charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended license and driving with faulty light equipment after he was pulled over near Mary's Motor Lodge at approximately 10:39 p.m. on Saturday, June 25.
  • Frank Cotrone, 58, of Cranston, R.I., was charged with driving without a valid license and driving with faulty lights after police pulled him over at approximately 11:04 p.m. on Saturday, June 25.
  • Margarita Barrientos, 27, of Providence, R.I., was charged with shoplifting by concealing, larceny under $250 and giving an officer a fake name after police responded to Kohl's at approximately 1:02 p.m. on Sunday, June 26.
