Police Log: Attleboro Officers Arrest a Murder Suspect, Rock Star and Alleged Drug Dealers

All information provided by the Attleboro Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests were made between July 14 and Juy 1. 

Thursday, July 14

  • Eric Lavoie, 20, of 192 Middle St. Pawtucket, RI, was arrested on a warrant out of Attleboro on charges of breaking and entering during the day, which is considered a felony charge.  
  • Kenneth Cote, 35, of 55 Kearns Rd. Chepachet, RI, was arrested on a court warrant as a fugitive from justice.  

Wednesday, July 13

  • Nicholas Clifford, 17, of 93 Thomas Leighton Blvd. was charged with possession to distribute Class D drugs (marijuana) and conspiracy to violate the drug law. 
  • Marel Cheguen, 21, of 110 R Pine St., Attleboro, was arrested and charged with possession to distribute Class D drugs (marijuana), conspiracy to violate drug law and possession of Class D drugs.  
  • Dennis J. Rivera, 24, of 103 Park St. Attleboro, was arrested and charged with unarmed robbery.  
  • Stevelson Matos, 18, of 411 Newport Ave. Attleboro, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and not having an inspection sticker. The suspension was from an earlier charge of operating under the influence. 
  • David Beaugregard, 50, of 30 South Main St., Attleboro, was arrested on a warrant stemming from assault and battery charges. 
  • Joseph Grenon, 17, of 4 Long Ave., Attleboro, was arrested and charged with possession to distribute Class D drugs (marijuana). 
  • Zeke Chenard, 18, of 32 Pearl St. Attleboro, was arrested on a warrant for defacing property (tagging).  

Tuesday, July 12

  • Matthew Gumkowsi, 30, of 17 Bank St. West Warwick, RI, was  (a felony), defacing property, larceny over $250, class A drug possession (Heroin, Morphine, GHB, or Special K) and a court warrant as a fugitive from justice. 
  • Gregory Johnson, 23, of 12 Peck St., N. Attleboro, was arrested on assault and battery charges (domestic), intimidating a witness, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

 Monday, July 11

  • Paul Greto Jr., 35, of 10 Melissa Dr., Attleboro, was arrested for defacing property, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
  • Mark Barrows, 55, of 421 Oakhill Ave., Attleboro, was arrested on a warrant on charges of larceny over $250.  

Sunday, July 10

  • Michael Todd, 30, of 2421 East Ball Rd., Anaheim, CA, was arrested on armed robbery and Class B drug (cocaine, LSD, Ecstasy, Oxycontin/oxycodone hydrochloride, Amphetamine, or Methamphetamine) possession charges.  

Saturday, July 9

  • Christopher Paquin, 19, of 65 East Washington St., Attleboro, was arrested for drunk driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license and failing to wear a seat belt.  

Friday, July 8

  • Steven Hayes, 26, of 58 Hodges St., Attleboro, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and shoplifting. 
  • Jessica Kennedy, 17, of 115 Bank St., Attleboro, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and battery.  
  • Antonio Whitefield Jr., 22, was arrested on assault and battery (domestic), two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Whitefiled was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital immediately after his arrest, according to his booking sheet. 

Thursday, July 7

  • Antonio Alamo, 23, of 27 School St., Attleboro, was arrested on a warrant for armed robbery out of Seekonk. 

Monday, July 4

  • Michael Burt, 25, of 9 Fordham Dr. Norton, was arrested on Class A (heroin, Morphine, GHB, Special K) and Class B (cocaine, LSD, Ecstasy, Oxycontin/oxycodone hydrochloride, Amphetamine, & Methamphetamine) drug possession.
  • John Macinnis, 17, of 22 Frenier Ave., Attleboro, was charged with assault. 
  • Charles Toupin, 55, of 10 Fuller Ave., Attleboro, was arrested and charged with open and gross lewdness and disturbing the peace.  

Saturday, July 2

  • Brian Thomas, 32, of 23 East St., Attleboro, was arrested and charged with defacing property, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, failing to stop for police, not wearing a seat belt, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating under the influence of liquor. 
  • Alex Fernandez, 25, of 225 Narragansett Ave., Providence, RI, was arrested on assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. 
  • Davin Freitas, 26, of 6 Bridle Path, Plainville, was arrested on operating under the influence of drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failing to stop for police, assault with a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest. Freitas was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for treatment for injuries obtained during a chase/apprehension, according to his booking sheet. 
  • Brian James, 37, of 1459 West St., Attleboro, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
