Man Charged with Attleboro Murder was on Probation

Matthew Gumkowski of West Warwick, RI, was on probation after serving time at the ACI.

Matthew Gumkowski, the West Warwick, RI, man charged with first-degree murder, arson and armed robbery in the murder of Attleboro's Joseph Kilrow, was on probation at the time of his arrest, according to Projo.com.

Prison records from the Adult Correctional Institution in Cranston, RI, show Gumkowski out on probation for receiving stolen goods under $500 and possession with intent to deliver.

Gumkowski was also one of four ACI prisoners who testified against two correctional officers claiming they had assaulted him. The two ACI officers were charged.
