Feehan Runners Quick to Act in Wake of Rollover Accident

A pickup truck driver was cited after he allegedly caused a three car accident Tuesday afternoon that sent Bishop Feehan cross country runners to the rescue.

Bishop Feehan cross country runners were quick to act in a dangerous situation this week.

WPRI is reporting that four Feehan runners were taking a cool down run when they witnessed a roll-over accident on North Main St. Tuesday afternoon. The runners rushed to the scene and pulled the driver of a flipped SUV to the grass.

A man and a woman in the SUV taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Attleboro Police Det. Sgt. Arthur Brillon said.

He said the flipped SUV was a result of a head-on collision with a passenger car that was rear-ended by a pick-up truck. According to Brillon, the passenger car was taking a left-hand turn when it was rear-ended, forcing it into the oncoming lane and into the SUV.

The pickup truck driver was cited for following too closely, he said.
