Car Slams into Rail on 95 South Sending Driver to ER [VIDEO]

A midday accident causes backup on 95 South on the Attleboro/N. Attleboro line.

The driver of a sports utility vehicle lost control of his car early Tuesday afternoon and slammed it into the highway railing on Interstate 95 South.

The driver, according to retire State Police Trooper Bob McKeon, got out of the vehicle and was visibly hurt from the crash.The male driver was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

McKenon, who witnessed the accident, told the driver to stay put and that the State Police were on their way.

The accident caused a backup in traffic for approximately 45 minutes while State Police and Mass Highway officials cleared the scene.

Attleboro and North Attleboro Fire responded to the scene.
