Car Accident Sends Driver and Child to Sturdy Hospital

Attleboro paramedics responded to West Street just after 5 p.m. today after a pick-up truck slammed into a Volkswagen.

A pick-up truck traveling on West Street in Attleboro slammed into a Volkswagen just after 5 p.m. today, sending the driver and his young passenger to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

Det. John Hynes responded to the scene near to investigate what happened. paramedics said the driver and little girl (believed by paramedics to be under the age of 3) suffered minor injuries from the crash. 

Rosemarie Marvelle who saw the accident happen said the driver of the pick-up truck, Brian Fuller, slammed into the black car after the driver of the Volkswagen slowed down. The man driving the Volkswagen slowed down because the car in front of him was taking a left turn.

"We saw the whole thing," Marvelle said. "We were sitting there in the back. We saw the woman stop to make a left turn and the man failed to stop."

Det. Hynes was seen writing a $20 "failing to stop" citation to Fuller.
