Body of 50-Year-Old Man Found After Suspicious Fire in Attleboro Home

The Bristol County District Attorney's office has confirmed that a body was found during a fire at 49 Dunham St.

Attleboro Police and State Police investigators have confirmed that the body of a 50-year-old man was found after a in Attleboro Sunday night.

Bristol County District Attorney's Office, Attleboro Police detectives and prosecutors from the DA's office continue to investigate the death of Joseph Kilrow, 50, who was found on the floor of his room on the third-floor of the rooming house. 

An autopsy has yet to be scheduled, according to the DA's office, but will likely take place either late today or sometime Tuesday.

The investigation is being overseen by Assistant District Attorney Steve Butts.

Attleboro Fire and Police officials were called to the scene just after 9 p.m. Sunday after the fire broke out. Police investigators from Attleboro and the state remained at the scene until the early morning hours Monday to collect and bag evidence and interview residents.
