Attleboro Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Seabra

Police say the robbery is similar to a robbery in the same plaza earlier this month.

The Attleboro Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Seabra's on South Main St. Tuesday night.

Attleboro Det. Sgt. Arthur Brillon said Attleboro PD was called at approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday regarding the robbery. Witnesses described a lone black male who jumped over the counter and appeared to be carrying a firearm.

The suspect fled the door with an undisclosed amount of cash, Brillon said. Although he was not seen entering a vehicle, police are reviewing store video as part of the investigation.

Brillon said the robbery showed "several similarities" to a Family Dollar Store robbery in the same plaza in recent weeks.
