Attleboro Police Discover Body in South Main Street Home

A body was found dead at a South Main Street home after a concerned neighbor contacted the Attleboro Police Dept.

The and responded to 714 South Main St. late Thursday morning to check on a resident at the home. Officers arrived at the home and met with a concerned neighbor who told police they had not seen the resident for several days, according to Attleboro Police Det.Sgt. Art Brillon. 

The officers were able to get into the house and determined the resident was deceased. Police would not disclose the age or sex of the individual. The District Attorney's office was brought in to help with the investigation.

"An ensuing investigation was conducted by Officer Leo Fontaine and Detective Russell Castro who worked in conjunction with the Bristol County District Attorney’s office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner," Det. Brillon said. "The incident remains under investigation at this time, however, there has been no indication up to this point to suggest foul play was involved."
