Attleboro PD Amps Up Search for Fugitives

Attleboro PD has posted a 14-page list of active warrants on its website.

Attleboro Police Chief Kyle Heagney announced Friday that the Attleboro Police Department will amp up its efforts to find people with active arrest warrants.

The Police Department is asking for the public's help. A 14-page list of active warrants has been posted on the Police Department's website.

“I feel that it is important for the community to have this information so that they can help bring these people to justice," Heagney said in a statement Friday. "We have posted a list of every person who has an active warrant issued for their arrest as a result of committing a crime. When one of our cases has an outstanding arrest warrant issued for the suspect it means that justice is being denied to the victim(s) and members of the community who are affected by their crimes.”

The list of active warrants can be found by clicking here. Heagney said anyone can submit an anonymous tip via the department’s website, or use an iphone app called MYDP. Residents can also call the Attleboro Police Department at 508-222-1212, or 911 and remain anonymous if they wish. Police warned that fugitives are "considered to be dangerous" and residents should not attempt to approach or apprehend them.

Heagney said fugitives can also turn themselves in.

“We will work with anyone wishing to voluntarily clear up their warrant(s) no matter where they currently may be located in the United States,” said Heagney. “A person can always turn themselves in at the Attleboro Police Department. It would probably be less disruptive and safer for all concerned if they did turn themselves in. We are open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. They can surrender themselves at anytime”
