Attleboro Man Could Be Charged in Fatal Crash

Authorities are seeking charges, including negligent motor vehicle homicide, against Richard brown, who police say killed a man and injured a 4-year-old girl when his vehicle struck them in Whitman.

A Plymouth County clerk magistrate will determine whether charges will be filed against an Attleboro man, who police say on Sept. 9 injured a 4-year-old girl and caused the death of her mother's boyfriend when the man's vehicle struck them as they crossed the street in Whitman.

FOX 25 in Boston reported Whitman Police Chief Scott Benton and Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz have requested charges be filed against 46-year-old Richard Brown.

"The complaint seeks charges of negligent motor vehicle homicide, operating to endanger, speeding and failure to yield to a pedestrian," according to FOX 25.
