Assault with Hot Coffe, Officer Pursuit

Four arrests are reported for Sept. 24-30.

The Seekonk Police Department reported the following recent arrests (an arrest does not indicate a conviction):

Sept. 25

  • *6:35 p.m. Walter Franklin Brown, 25, of Woonsocket was arrested at Cumberland Farms on Fall River Avenue on suspicion of assault and battery (domestic), assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (hot coffee) and an unspecified warrant.

Sept. 26

  • 1:35 a.m. Mark Bloomfield, 49, of Seekonk was arrested at Luxury Box on Fall River Avenue on suspicion of larceny from person. Police received a report that a male stole a wallet from a female inside the bar, according to the log.

Sept. 28

  • 2:23 p.m. Joseph Emmanuel Treeful Jr., 43, of Fall River was arrested at Pep Boys on Highland Avenue on suspicion of a third offense of shoplifting and larceny over $250.
  • 6:26 p.m. Stephen Edward Vayo, 44, of Barrington was arrested on Fall River Avenue following an attempted traffic stop and police pursuit by car and foot. The log states Vayo was seen driving "all over the road" out of East Providence into Seekonk. He was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle recklessly so as to endanger, failure to stop for a police officer while operating a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
