Assault and Battery With a Dangerous Weapon, Open Container and Shoplifting

The following information about recent local arrests and charges was supplied by the Attleboro Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

The following represents arrests between Jan. 7 through Jan. 9.

Jan. 7

  • *5:12 p.m. Thomas Keller, 36, of 3 Commonwealth Ave. was arrested at his home for suspicion of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
  • 6:20 p.m. Dennis Gaotte, 30, of Pawtucket RI was arrested at Newport Ave. for suspicion of unregistered motor vehicle, miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and on a warrant and charged with shoplifting.
  • 9:01 p.m. Christine Gail, 29, of Riverside RI was arrested at County St. for suspicion of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, open container in a motor vehicle, improper turn, unregistered motor vehicle and on a warrant and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
  • 10:16 p.m. Matthew Paige, 23, of Mansfield was arrested at County St. for suspicion of possession of a Class A substance.
  • 11:06 p.m. Carlos Berganza, 43, of 9 Leory St. was arrested at his home for suspicion of domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Jan. 8
  • 2 p.m. Andrew Kerr, 18, of 31 Chapel Hill Ln. was arrested at his home for suspicion of domestic assault and battery, intimidating a witness and assault with a dangerous weapon.
  • 10:32 p.m. Eric Morris, 35, of 29 Benefit St. was arrested at Carpenter St. for suspicion of OUI liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
Jan. 9
  • 1:04 p.m. Paul OBrien, 56, of Cumberland RI was arrested at Washington St. for suspicion of shoplifting.
