Armed Robbery Reported in Attleboro

The incident was reported at Rite Aid on Washington Street.

Attleboro police are searching for a man who they said stole narcotics Friday afternoon at Rite Aid (1099 Washington St.) after he showed employees a gun and jumped over the counter to grab them.

Detective Sgt. Arthur Brillon told Attleboro Patch the incident happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. He described the suspect as a white male in his late 40s or early 50s, about 6 feet tall with facial hair and wearing a baseball cap that said "U.S. Border Patrol."

A 59-year-old man was brought into custody by Attleboro police Friday at approximately 4:30 p.m. Brillon said the questioning had nothing to do with the Rite Aid robbery.
