Armed Robbery at Family Dollar on South Main St.

The robbery is the second crime in the plaza in less than a week.

An armed robbery at Family Dollar on South Main St. is the latest in recent crime that has taken place in the Seabra Shopping Center at 217 South Main.

According to WPRI Providence, a masked man allegedly assaulted a Family Dollar employee at approximately 10 p.m. on Friday night. The employee was treated for injuries.

"The robbery is the latest in a recent spree of hold ups by a masked man with a gun in the Attleboro area," according to the report.

The shopping plaza that houses Family Dollar is the same plaza that made headlines last week when a Seekonk man was arrested for allegedly selling oxycotin in the parking lot.

William Cameron, 28, was arrested for distribution of a Class B substance after Attleboro Police and Bristol County detectives saw a drug deal in action.
