It's Not Too Late - Fill Out the Form!

If you haven’t applied for financial aid yet, don’t worry. It’s not too late to apply and be considered for federal and state aid. The deadline to be considered for financial aid from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is May 1st, and you can apply for federal financial aid throughout the academic year. Check with the colleges and universities you have applied to and find out the financial aid deadlines for each institution. If you have missed any of the college deadlines, fill out the FAFSA anyway, and the CSS/Financial Aid Profile® if it's required. The financial aid office will still process your application to be considered for federal and state aid, as well as any institutional funds that are still available.

Filing the FAFSA online is the quickest way to apply, especially if you are bumping up against deadlines. If you run into any questions or need help, you can turn to MEFA. We have experts on hand to answer questions via phone at 1-800-449-MEFA (6332) or email at info@mefa.org. You can also view our pre-recorded webinarfor more details about filling out the FAFSA. Don’t delay; it’s not too late to apply for financial aid.
