In Attleboro and Need Food, Water or WI-FI?

Here's the dish on where to eat, drink and get Internet access while you have no power.

A drive around town is an easy indicator that the power is out in 85 percent of the city. If you are one of the unlucky ones without power and are in need of food, drinks or Internet access here's where to go:

  • Singapore Gardens, 111 Pleasent Street

  • Stop n' Shop, Pleasent Street
  •  (no more today, but open Tuesday)

  •  only AA and AAA

It should be noted that the Dunks and Honey Dew are the ones on Pleasant Street near the KFC. The ones on County and 123 are still out. Not sure about the Dunks at Briggs Corner. I heard Briggs had power, but I didn't get a confirmation. And FedEx in North Attleboro (on Rte 1) had C and D sized batteries (as of Monday). I'd call before running over just to be sure though.

Wendy's at Triboro Plaza is open and was mobbed last night. The Shaw's there was also open, so I assume all the businesses there are up and running althought I didn't check them out. I was just happy to find warm food!
