Obituary: Regina Annette (Nolin) Sumner

Regina Annette (Nolin) Sumner, 51, of Attleboro, died on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013

Regina Annette (Nolin) Sumner, 51, of Maple Street, Attleboro, died of a “broken and lonesome heart” on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island where she was transferred to from Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro the previous day. She was the dedicated and devoted wife of the late Sean Raymond Sumner with whom she shared more than 22 years and married on May 9, 2011 and died on February 3, 2012.

Born in Tampa, Florida on September 21, 1961, she was a daughter of Patricia A. (White) Nolin of Attleboro and the late Joseph V. Nolin. She was raised, educated and resided in Attleboro for most of her life.

She was proud to be a devoted and dedicated homemaker and “Mom” to her family.

Her favorite pastimes included painting whiteware, collecting clown memorabilia, gardening and cooking for her family.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Sumner leaves five children: Stephanie J. Duby of North Attleboro; Sean E. Duby of Bridgewater; Seth H. Sumner of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; Paige M. Sumner of Attleboro and Kaitlyn Timoney of Seekonk; her siblings: Carol Peters in Ohio and Joseph Nolin in Florida; her father-in-law: Harold L. Sumner of Harwich Port, Massachusetts; her canine companion: Ruffuss and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and dear friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, January 15, 2012 from 12:00 – 1:45 PM in the “Memorial Chapel” of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home – the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.

Those in need of a ride to visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis transportation.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral immediately following visitation on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the “Memorial Chapel” of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home – the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. John Patrick Sullivan of the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette, Park Street, Attleboro, officiating.

Burial will be private.

Children’s room available during visitation and the funeral.

Following funeral services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.

Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation, Inc., a registered 501 (c) 3 organization, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02760 to the Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island.
