Obituary: Kathryn Ann Shea

She was a devoted wife who loved singing, telling stories, laughter and most of all her family.

Kathryn Ann (Sullivan) Shea died Saturday at the Golden Living Center in Attleboro. She was 86.

She was the wife of Edward F. Shea. She was born in Fall River to Daniel A. and Margaret (Kerr) Sullivan.

She was a homemaker and many years ago was a telephone operator. After living in Portsmouth, R.I., she spent the past 10 years in Attleboro.

She was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Church, formerly Holy Ghost Church of Attleboro.

In addition to her husband, Shea is survived by sons Dennis J. Shea of Ocala, Fla., Timothy R. Shea of Orlando, Fla. and Edward F. Shea Jr. of Warren, R.I.; daughters Loretta Shea Cathcart of Attleboro, Mary Kate Shea Crimmins of Walpole, Veronica Scontras of Gorham, Maine; brother David T. Sullivan of Portsmouth; sister Mary Kerr Sullivan of Somerset; 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Shea was preceded in death by her brothers Timothy R. Sullivan and Daniel A. Sullivan.

A funeral will take place Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home, located at 126 South Main St. in Attleboro. It will be followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, located at 71 Linden St. in Attleboro and then a burial at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
