Remembering Maria B. Lima

Maria B. Lima, 73, of John St., passed away on Jan. 20, 2014 in the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Luiz Lima of Attleboro.

Born Sept. 10, 1940 in the Azores region of Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Celso and Adalade Silva.

Maria was employed at London’s Department Store, Attleboro as a seamstress for over 10 years and she also worked out of her home as a seamstress for over 20 years. More recently she worked as a personal care attendant for various facilities.

She was also a wonderful cook.

In addition to her husband, Maria is survived by her four children, Louie Lima and his wife Kim of Seekonk, Demetrio Lima and his wife Lucie of Seekonk, Marina and her husband Christian Turner of Sagamore Beach and Jennifer Lima and her fiancé Steve Russ both of Attleboro; ten grandchildren, Nicole Lima, Jessica Lima, Leah Lima, Raquel Lima, Shantel Lima, Christian R. Turner, Julia Turner, Nina Bella Turner, Cody Russ and Lily Russ; very good friend of Madalena Teixeira and Amy Nolan.

She was the mother of the late Ruben, Paula and Telmo Lima.

Visitation has been respectfully omitted.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 24, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. in the United Pentecostal Church, 175 S Main St, Attleboro, MA immediately followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. in the church.
