Attleboro's Animals Need Time, Money and Support

There's plenty to do at the Attleboro Animal Shelter.

To the Editor:

Last Saturday’s was a smashing success for the, raising over $6,000. Even more great news is that four cats and one dog were adopted by loving new families! Finding our furry friends new homes is our main goal.

In case you were wondering, there are still many loving cats and dogs up for adoption! Come down to the Attleboro Animal Shelter located at 1 North Pond St. in South Attleboro during adoption hours, every Wednesday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

If you are looking for a dog, may I recommend a beautiful Dalmatian/Retriever mix named Travis or a loveable American Bulldog named Oreo? If you are looking for a cat, make sure to check out Teddy, a mischievous short-haired rascal or Milo, a lazy orange Tabby. Look at all of the animals up for adoption at www.FAASPets.org.

If you can’t adopt, volunteer! Every week, I clean litter boxes, feed, socialize and med all of the cats at the shelter. It is only one evening of my life every week, but it goes a long way to helping the Attleboro felines in need. But you don’t have to volunteer; there are many ways to get involved with FAAS. If you can’t volunteer, donate! Every penny helps. If you can’t donate, support! The goodwill of the community and word of mouth advertisement is important assistance to the cause; the value of local support cannot be quantified!
