Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter 10th Annual HARVEST FEST

As we prepare to say good bye to summer, we throw it into overdrive and get ready for the 10th annual HarvestFest!  What's that.. You've never been to the Harvestfest? No worries I can tell you all about this wonderful day!  Volunteers yawn and stretch and stumble to the shelter during the wee hours of the morning and prepare to welcome 50+ vendors ranging from services, artists, crafters and fellow rescues and shelters!  The grills spark up and soon the aroma of fresh grilling foods is tantalizing our taste buds!  Ya gotta watch your step..you don't want to get in the way of the Horses and Ponies that are there giving tons of kids rides and putting smiles on many faces! Smiles are plentiful on this day but please remember to save some of those grins for our canine kissing booth.oh how we love smooches from the pooches! Sometimes those canine kids can be a lil tricky so if you had your face painted during the event just remind them to keep the slobber down to a minimum (is that possible?)!

Take the time between now and then to test out your baking skills and put those taste buds to use and enter the Apple Pie backing contest.I am sure Grandma would be proud!

 Not a baker you say?  No problem we got ya covered with our Pumpkin carving contest.no cheating though.you cannot use stencils - and trust me we will find out. We put our felines family members in charge of scouring the internet for all those fancy images that are out there to make sure all the humans are following the rules!

Remember this day is for our kids in fur so raise your paws and get involved and enjoy the day!  This is a fun family day, hope to see you all there!
